What to eat for this Tet?

Tết Lunar New Year in Vietnam is a special occasion. Everywhere you look, there are banners, lanterns and flowers of the brightest reds, pinks and yellows you’ve ever seen. But this celebration isn’t just for the eyes, it’s also for the stomach. So if you are an adventurous person, living oversea and can't get all the tradition dishes for Tet, then why not getting something quick and easy to cook and different to eat. Here are some suggestions:

1. Gà khìa nước dừa (chicken caramelized in coconut juice)

2. Bò kho sả (Beef caramelized with lemongrass)

3. Gà nấu đậu (chicken stew)

4. Bạch tuộc hấp (Steamed octopus)

5. Gà khô lá chanh (Dried chicken)

6. Ruốc cá hồi (dried salmon)

7. Nấm xào rau củ (mushroom stir-fried with veggies)

8. Canh mọc nấm hẹ (mushroom soup with pork)

9. Xôi hạt sen (sticky rice with lotus seeds)

10. Bánh chuối nướng (banana cake)
